Rangers sign Matthew Lombardi

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Rangers agreed to terms with free-agent forward Matthew Lombardi on Wednesday.
Lombardi, 32, returns to the NHL after playing in 46 games for Geneve-Servette of National League A in Switzerland last season. He led the league in assists (30) and points (50).
The Quebec native has 101 goals and 161 assists in 536 career NHL games with Calgary, Phoenix, Nashville, Toronto and Anaheim.
