Sporting's Kronberg out with hand injury

Kansas City, KS (SportsNetwork.com) - Sporting Kansas City announced Thursday that goalkeeper Eric Kronberg will miss approximately eight weeks with fractured metacarpal bone in his left hand.
Kronberg, who will not need surgery, has started all 17 MLS matches for SKC this season, leading the league with seven shutouts and a 0.88 goals against average.
Jon Kempin, who was recalled from a loan spell at OKC Energy FC, and Andy Gruenebaum will be the two available goalkeeping options for Sporting head coach Peter Vermes.
