Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Charlotte Hornets have signed restricted free-agent forward Gordon Hayward to an offer sheet.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but reports earlier this week indicated it is worth $63 million over four years.

The Utah Jazz have three days to match the offer.

Hayward averaged a career-bests of 16.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game last season, his fourth with the Jazz. He was selected by Utah with the ninth overall pick in the 2010 draft.

In four seasons, the 6-foot-8 Butler product has averaged 12.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists.
