Canucks re-sign Tanev

Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Vancouver Canucks re-signed restricted free agent defenseman Chris Tanev to a one-year contract on Saturday.

The 24-year-old totaled career highs of six goals, 11 assists and 17 points over 64 games for the Canucks a season ago.

Over 156 appearances in parts of four seasons with the franchise, Tanev has compiled eight goals and 27 points.

The club also announced the re-signing of blueliner Peter Andersson, who totaled 13 points in 58 games for Utica of the American Hockey League in 2013-14.
