The New Jersey Devils added some offense at Tuesday's start of NHL free agency, signing unrestricted free agent forward Mike Cammalleri to a five-year deal.

The 32-year-old winger joins the Devils on a deal reportedly worth $25 million, according to TSN.ca. New Jersey hopes Cammalleri can bolster an offense which ranked 27th in the NHL in scoring (2.40 goals per game) during the 2013-14 season.

Cammalleri battled injuries with Calgary in 2013-14, but still managed to record 26 goals and 45 points over 63 games. It marked the fifth time the veteran sniper went over 25 goals in a season, but it also was the fifth straight campaign in which Cammalleri had played in less than 70 games.

Over 669 career games with Calgary, Los Angeles and Montreal, Cammalleri has compiled 236 goals and 266 assists.
