Blue Jackets give McElhinney one-year extension

Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed goaltender Curtis McElhinney to a one-year contract extension, the team announced Monday.

McElhinney went 10-11-1 with a 2.70 goals against average, .909 save percentage and two shutouts in a career-high 28 games with Columbus last season. He was acquired in a trade with the Coyotes on Feb. 22, 2012.

In 97 NHL games with Calgary, Anaheim, Ottawa, Phoenix and Columbus, McElhinney is 29-37-5 with a 2.97 GAA, .902 save percentage and four shutouts.
