One of the most in-demand hairstylists on the planet, Oribe Canales, occupies an orbit of high-end fashion shoots and A-list stars (including Jennifer Lopez and Penelope Cruz). Here’s good news for anyone who has been unable to score an appointment with Oribe at his eponymous Miami salon: one of Oribe’s top assistants and protégés, Duber Osorio, gives one of the best blowouts in town. His frizz-fighting essential? Leave-in conditioner. “My all-time favorite is Oribe’s Supershine Moisturizing Cream ($19.50 to $49 at oribe.com),” Osorio says. “Run a tiny dab—half the size of a pea—through damp hair, staying away from the roots. Then, once hair’s dry, add a little more for a pretty, piecey texture.” Avoid silicone-based stylers, he cautions. “They coat the hair but don’t hydrate or protect it. A great trick is to mix a little Super Shine and water in a spray bottle and mist it on as needed.”
