George Zimmerman was arrested Monday after deputies responded to a disturbance call at a house, the Associated Press reported.
Zimmerman was arrested in Seminole County, the Orlando Sentinel said. WESH reported that Zimmerman's girlfriend accused him of domestic violence.
"At approximately 1 p.m. today, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office arrested George Zimmerman after deputies responded to a disturbance call on Topfield Court in Apopka," according to a Seminole County Sheriff's Office statement. "Zimmerman will be transported and booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility."
Zimmerman and his estranged wife were involved in a domestic dispute in September. Police said no charges were filed against either of them because of a lack of evidence.
That dispute took place just days after Shellie Zimmerman filed divorce papers.
Over the summer, Zimmerman was acquitted of killing Miami-Dade teen Trayvon Martin after a confrontation in Sanford.
This bulletin will be updated as more information becomes available.
