Newark Mayor and Future Senator Cory Booker performed the first same sex marriages in New Jersey just after midnight, joining together seven gay couples and two heterosexual ones. New Jersey is the 14th state to legalize gay marriage.
President Barack Obama will hold a news conference this morning in the Rose Garden to acknowledge problems with the launch of HealthCare.gov. The Dept. of Health and Human Services blogged on Sunday that it plans a "tech surge" to fix the glitches. Related:

U.S. Rep. Bill Young's final conversation before dying was with President George W. Bush, who thanked him for his service and told him he loved him. A public funeral will be held Thursday in Florida, with a private burial to follow.
