It’s fall, and as Miami’s humidity takes a dip, you know what that means: a blowout stands a chance at lasting more than a few minutes. So INDULGE tracked down the ladies behind Midtown’s blow dry bar Blo—sisters Sandi and Kailey Magder—and asked them to share a few tricks to help any blowout last a little longer.
WRAP IT UP When it’s time to hit the sack, put your blown out hair up in a loose bun. It’ll keep it from getting frizzy and helps maintain body for days!
RESIST THE URGE Even if you have oily hair, don’t wash it every day; it just causes your scalp to produce more oils. Try and go a day or two in between washings, using dry shampoo instead.
COLD CONDITIONING To keep frizz at bay, don’t condition your roots. Instead, work conditioner into your mane halfway down and then into the tips. Wash it out with a shot of cold water to help seal the cuticles. Apply a lightweight leave-in conditioner or Moroccan oil when it’s still wet.
