Compact Case in Lizard: “This is one of my signature styles and we’re working on a collaboration with Harry Winston based on it. We created mirrors for their countertops inspired by the materials I use. I’m really excited about because Harry Winston is such a great American brand.” Cartagena, Colombia. “My fiancé and I are living in Bogotá now, and we’re getting married in Cartagena in February. So I’ve been traveling there a lot lately and I find it so beautiful—the colors, the culture, the art—that it inspired my entire Spring/Summer collection. The mood boards I make for inspiration were filled with Cartagena.”
Orchids: "The orchid is the national flower of Colombia. They're so beautiful and elegant."
Amedeo Modigliani: “I love his work. His nudes feel feminine and elegant and his portraits are simple but feel dramatic.” Dries Van Noten’s Paris boutique. “It’s my favorite place to shop in Paris. I love the decor, which feels young and fun while remaining traditional. I could live in it!”
Chiqui Tote in Red Python: “It’s my travel partner! I designed it specifically because I wanted something stylish to carry my books, iPad, phone and all the gadgets I take with me.”
The Mark Hotel in New York City: “It was designed by Jacques Grange, who is famous for decorating Yves Saint Laurent’s home, the Château Gabriel, and is my favorite interior designer. He puts together old and new, traditional and contemporary, and he is unpretentious not overly designed. I strive for that in my own designs.”
