A Miami-Dade prosecutor was arrested late Tuesday after police said she sideswiped a fellow motorist but refused to stop.
Caycie Blake Flitman, 29, posted $500 bond and was released from a Miami-Dade jail. She is charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
Flitman, who was hired in August 2009, works in the “intake” unit of the state attorney’s office, processing paperwork for new cases.
According to Miami police, Flitman was driving Monday along South Dixie Highway at Southwest 27th Avenue when she made an “improper” lane change, hitting a car driving next to her.
The motorist in the other car, while dialing 911, followed her until she pulled over.
He told police that Flitman got out of the car, cursed him out and then got back into her car and drove away.
The motorist gave Miami police officers her car’s tag number — and they arrested her Tuesday night at her home.
The state attorney’s office is reviewing her employment status, according to a spokesman.
