Yorkie snatched from restaurant seat reunited with owner; suspect arrested

The little Monster has been found.

The teacup Yorkie was snatched last week while owner Athina Kafouros was at at her family's Greek restaurant on Coral Way.

Kafouros briefly stepped away, leaving Monster in a pink Juicy Couture bag at an outside table. When she returned, the Yorkie was gone, said police spokesman William Moreno.

On Monday night, Kafouros was reunited with Monster.

A good Samarian who did not want to be indentified stepped forward with information after hearing of the missing dog, according to Miami Herald news partner CBS4.

Police arrested Wilfredo Torres, 49, on charges of grand theft and dealing in stolen property.

According to an arrest report, Miami police officers received a tip and found Torres near Northwest Eighth Avenue holding a backpack.

"A small dog raised his head our of the bag," according to the report.

When Torres saw police, he said: "I didn't steal him."
