Miami police have issued an arrest warrant for the murder of Miami rapper Robert Labranche, better known among his fans as Bizzle.

Labranche was shot several times earlier this month outside his Liberty City car wash as his young children were sitting in a nearby SUV.

Police said Wednesday they are seeking the public’s help in finding the suspect, Craig Mitchell, 39, who has a long police record including charges of battery, kidnapping, selling cocaine and grand theft auto. Anyone with tips on his whereabouts should call the department’s homicide unit at 305-603-6350.

Labranche, 37, was shot to death at the Magic City Car Wash on Northwest 54th Street and Seventh Avenue. His music was popular in Miami-area strip clubs and he had his own record label, Chowtime Entertainment.

Miami police were not able to comment on a possible motive since the investigation is still open.
