A Hollywood man has been charged with practicing dentistry without license, according to Hallandale Beach police.
Jorge Luis Romero-Paredes, a 57-year-old from Perú, performed several procedures on Mirta Pavón at her home, according to the police report. As a result, Pavón lost a molar and got an oral infection.
Romero was licensed to practice dentistry in Perú but not in the United States. The police report also says that Romero-Paredes installed crowns that were meant for children in Pavón’s mouth.
Romero-Paredes reportedly had other patients.
