The father of the baby found dead in a car trunk Friday is being held in jail without bond after he appeared in court Saturday, according to CBS4.
Two-month-old Josiah Saintil was found dead in the trunk of a stolen car in Coral Springs, according to the Broward Sherriff’s Office. Authorities determined the dead baby is connected to an Amber Alert issued earlier in the day by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for a missing infant who police say was kidnapped Thursday night by his father, 24-year-old Janus Saintil of Deerfield Beach.
Saintil is accused of abducting his son, Josiah, as well as an unidentified man and two women, around 7 p.m. Thursday in a stolen black, four-door 2008 Kia Spectra with tinted windows. Investigators identified the deceased child as the missing baby boy. One of the women is the baby’s mother, according to deputies.
Saintil has also been charged with carjacking, kidnapping, robbery and battery, CBS4 reported.
