Got a question about which ship is right for you? The best cruise line for traveling with teens? Where to find the widest selection of duty-free china?
Our cruise panelists can help. Six local cruise enthusiasts will share their experiences and opinions on our new cruise forum.
Sign on to the forum here -- you only have to register once -- and post your questions, reviews and opinions. Our panelists will weigh in -- and so, we hope, will all of you.
Now, meet our panel:
|Sergio Calderon seems to have scarcely left the seas since he started cruising, with 15 sailings since 2004. Catch the postings from his South American voyage through mid-February.||Gail Choate is the married mother of four (ages 18, 13, 11 and 10) and a hands-on expert on what does -- and doesn't -- work with a family. Alaska, Panama and the Caribbean have all been on the itinerary.||Olga Fehrmann, a semi-retired travel agent, has taken more than 100 cruises on a variety of lines. If you've got a question, she probably has an answer!|
|Luisa Harker Leiva has sailed on luxury lines to destinations near and far. She loves waking up in a different country each day without the hassle of unpacking or changing hotel rooms, she writes.||Daniel Smith, 18, has been on 32 cruises since he began sailing with his family at age 4. His travels -- with his family -- have taken him throughout the Caribbean, Alaska and Hawaii; Europe is next!||Paul Wells spent 35 years as a cruise line executive and consultant before founding a company focused on renewable energy. He is a licensed sea captain.|
More than 50 of you volunteered your services as a panelist, and in the months to come, we'll rotate our "expert'' voices. If you'd like to serve on a future panel, e-mail us at cruises@MiamiHerald.com and tell us about your cruising experience.
For now, we'll see you on our forum -- and maybe at sea.
Editor's note: Opinions expressed by our cruise panelists are those of the panelists, who are volunteers, and do not reflect the opinion or editorial policy of The Miami Herald Media Company or its owners or affiliates. Biographical information and photos were supplied by the panelists.
