MURAL AT MDC
With the help of art students, Mexican painter and muralist Diego Rosales, once an assistant to the renowned Diego Rivera, is creating a 400-square-foot mural at Miami Dade College's Wolfson Campus. The mural, Universal Man, will represent the transition of mankind from ancient to modern times and is expected to take 16 weeks to complete.
Rosales attended the National School of Paint and Sculpture, La Esmeralda, and worked on various restoration projects as well as his murals for Mexican government and cultural institutions. Also assisting Rosales with his MDC mural is Tonatiuh Portela Rosales, his fellow artist and grandson.
