Restaurant openings: Racks, Yard House, Sosta Pizz

• Racks Italian Bistro and Market at the Intracoastal Mall, 3933 NE 163rd St., North Miami Beach, combines an Italian-style market (fresh produce, imported cheeses, cured meats and grocery items) and a 204-seat restaurant, where executive chef Matthew Danaher (formerly of Palm Beach County's Vic & Angelo's) presides over an extensive menu of under-$20 small plates and coal-oven pizzas. Founder Gary Rack of Boca Raton ( Coal Mine Pizza) says he intends to take the concept national. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Racks is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 8 a.m. to midnight Sunday; 305-917-7225.

• Yard House opened Sunday at the Village at Merrick Park, 358 San Lorenzo Ave, Coral Gables, with indoor-outdoor seating for 480 and a menu of ''American fusion fare'' plus 130 on-tap beers. There are more than 100 items on executive chef Carlito Jocson's menu, according to an announcement, with a gluten-free menu available on request. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily; www.yardhouse.com.

• Sosta Pizzeria, from the owners of chic Quattro Gastronomia Italiana, has opened at 1025 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach, boasting a Morello Forni rotating brick oven (one of only two in the United States, according to the announcement) and a menu of pizzas, antipasti and 75 wines; 305-722-5454.

• River Lounge has opened at the Epic Hotel & Residences 270 Biscayne Blvd. Way, Miami, serving cocktails and bar bits; 305-424-5224.

• Zushi Flirt, a sushi bar and lounge, is newly ensconced at Z Ocean Hotel South Beach, 1437 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 305-672-4554.
