Lincoln Road pioneer Robert Siegmann relocated his Icebox Cafe this week to Sunset Harbour Shops, 1855 Purdy Ave., Miami Beach, where he’s serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch in an indoor-outdoor space that’s twice as big as the old digs. Devon Seafood + Steak, 11715 Sherri Ln., Kendall, is offering Monday diners $1 off their bill for each natural wine cork they bring in (up to $20 per table, minimum purchase $50). The restaurant has partnered with a program that recycles corks into footwear; 305-275-0226.
OpenTable.com, the restaurant-reservations website, reports that four South Florida restaurants made the top-100 “best brunch” list in its 2013 Diner’s Choice Awards: 94th Aero Squadron, Miami; the Biltmore Hotel, Coral Gables; Mister Collins, Bal Harbour; and Peacock Garden Café, Coconut Grove. Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts has come up with a way for South Floridians to eat well and do good on behalf of Boston bombing victims: Chef-instructor Cole Kraft and his students will make 30 gallons of New England clam chowder, and sell it to benefit the One Boston Fund. It will be hog heaven Sunday as Cochon 555, a traveling culinary competition and heritage-pork tasting event, rolls into town. This year’s Miami Rum Festival is Saturday and Sunday at the Doubletree by Hilton Miami Airport Convention Center, 711 NW 72nd Ave..
