The Cleveland Orchestra Miami is in the midst of its 10th- anniversary season at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Music director Franz Welser-Möst will conduct performances Thursday and Friday featuring pianist Leif Ove Andsnes as soloist in the Schumann Piano Concerto, alongside Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy and Symphony No. 1 (“Winter Daydreams”).
For performances on Jan. 29-30, Cleveland Orchestra concertmaster William Preucil and principal cello Mark Kosower take on Brahms’s Double Concerto for violin, cello and orchestra on a program that includes Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 3 and his Divertissement. Additionally, a celebratory gala is set for Saturday, Jan. 23, in which Welser-Möst will lead a concert with soprano Renée Fleming.
