CELEBRITY ROUNDUP
Even Britney looks down on Britney
If you're wondering what was going through Britney Spears' head during her erratic era, you are not alone -- so does she.
'I sit there and I look back and I'm like, `I'm a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?' '' Spears said in an interview that will air on MTV on Nov. 30, two days before the release of her sixth album, Circus.
In Britney: For The Record, the 26-year-old pop tart talks about her divorce, custody battle, rehab, public meltdowns and even the memorably bad performance at the VMAs.
EVIL IS RIGHT
The actor who played ''Random Task'' in the first Austin Powers movie took his role as Dr. Evil's henchman too seriously.
Joe Son was arrested Tuesday and charged with 17 counts of violent acts including rape and sodomy.
The Korean martial artist, 36, was busted in May for vandalism and forced to give a DNA sample. The sample then connected him to an unsolved 1990 gang rape of a California woman.
If convicted, Son faces a maximum sentence of 275 years to life. Doubt there will be too many movie parts when he gets out.
ON THE MEND
No, he wasn't beaten up. Hip-hop mogul Sean Combs' arm is bandaged up because he underwent surgery on his shoulder.
The rapper stepped out to the Madonna concert in New York on Tuesday with his arm in a sling -- sparking an Internet frenzy. Sorry, just a boring old torn rotator cuff.
GOT SMART
John Cusack's stalker has finally accepted a plea deal that will let her avoid state prison.
Emily Leatherman pleaded no contest Friday in Los Angeles to a felony count of stalking the handsome bachelor. Her sentence: five years' probation and mandatory psychiatric counseling.
Oh yeah -- and she has to stay away from my boy for the next decade. He'll surely have a guard dog by then. Or maybe even a wife.
Cusack wasn't in court, but a prosecutor read his statement saying he never met Leatherman but hoped she received proper psychiatric help.
Wow, that's pretty charitable of him.
