COMING TO TOWN

David Guetta to spin at Mansion

Similar stories:

David Guetta recalls the exact moment R&B star Akon threw him into a pool of water.

The two pals were in Ibiza filming the video for their hit single, Sexy B----.

``I had no idea he was going to do that. It took me completely by surprise,'' he said.

``After that, everybody, all the extras and some of the crew, jumped in the water with us.''

It's good that the French DJ, who has been spinning since the age of 17, doesn't hold grudges.

Besides working on Akon's new album, the mega producer has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music.

His fourth album, One Love, is filled with top-charting hits, including I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas and Kelly Rowland's When Love Takes Over.

And Guetta, 46, shows no sign of stopping. He just finished a remix of Madonna's new song, Revolver, and produced Acapella, featuring R&B singer Kelis.

``It's unbelievable that right now dance music and the DJ culture is so big,'' he said. ``I never imagined this would one day happen for any of us, let alone myself. . . . It's a blessing.''

David Guetta will spin Saturday at Mansion, 1235 Washington Ave., Miami Beach; 305-695-8411. Doors open at 10 p.m.
