The 36-year-old film producer and director reportedly violated a traffic law, flagging cops' attention.

Her blood alcohol level was .06; under California law, the legal limit is .08, but a driver can still be prosecuted.

Maybe daddy will help her out with this one.

HEALTH UPDATE

Nicole Richie's had quite the week -- the former reality star had to get a restraining order against two peeping paparazzi -- and now she's come down with pneumonia.

The 28-year-old mother of two -- she gave birth to son Sparrow Sept. 9 -- was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital Wednesday, but she is on the mend.

Earlier in the week, she tweeted [sic]: ``ok cold, it's been 6 days. Lets part ways graciously & keep it moving.''

Chaz Bono says beginning the sex-change process to become a man is ``the best decision I've ever made.''

The 40-year-old, who was born a girl, Chastity, to Sonny Bono and Cher, is eight months into the years-long transformation.

Chaz told ABC's Good Morning America on Thursday: ``To me, gender is between your ears, not between your legs. I've felt male as far back as I can remember.''

At Thursday's Us Weekly Hot Hollywood party at L.A. hot spot Voyeur, Audrina Patridge was seen cozying up to Mark Salling, the mohawk-sporting hunk from FOX's new hit show Glee.

Last month, Patridge ended her two-month fling with Aussie BMX racer Corey Bohan due to ``conflicting schedules.'' Prior to that, she was attached to Hills costar Justin ``Bobby'' Brescia.
