Hulk Hogan has figured out another way to pay for his divorce from Linda. The former pro wrestler's memoir, My Life Outside the Ring (St. Martin's, $25.99), hit shelves Tuesday.

The book covers all the bases -- from his childhood in Port Tampa, Fla., to his wildly successful career as a 12-time world heavyweight champ and six-time World Wrestling Foundation champ.

But recently -- right around the time Hogan was filming his VH1 reality show, Hogan Knows Best, life took a nasty turn. Son Nick was jailed for a serious car wreck that left a close friend in a wheelchair; his wife of 23 years asked for a divorce and became a cougar; and daughter Brooke broke free from the fold for Brooke Knows Best.

Severely depressed, Hogan was actually near suicide in winter 2007. The tell-all reveals that one night, drunk and Xanax-ed, Hulk had his finger on the trigger. Luckily, Laila Ali, his American Gladiators cohost, phoned to check up on him. He said that call saved his life.

ACHTUNG, BABY!

On the heels of its live broadcast from the Rose Bowl on YouTube, U2 announced a new 2010 North American leg to its 360 Degrees Tour, including a Miami date. The Dubliners and their spider-like megatour will take over Land Shark Stadium on July 9, 2010.

The show also promises that 85 percent of tickets will be priced at less than $95 and that at least 10,000 tickets will be less than $30. A deal.

NY STATE OF MIND

The New York Yankees blasted Jay-Z's Empire State of Mind during their playoff run. Now, the Bronx Bombers are having the rap king perform the song live to kick off Game 1 of the World Series Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies.

``Thank the good Lord for making me a Yankee,'' the Brooklyn native, 39, said Monday.

COUPLES NEWS

Bet you didn't even know these two were dating but . . . Aussie tennis player Mark Philippoussis, 32, is engaged to Samantha Who?'s Jennifer Esposito, 36.

Philippoussis starred on the NBC reality dating show The Age of Love, choosing between women in their 20s (kittens) and those in their 40s (cougars). He picked a Texas cheerleader (kitten), but they're over, obviously. Esposito was wed to The Hangover's Bradley Cooper, who's now with Renee Zellweger.

Taylor? Taylor! Things must get confusing when these two are together. Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner are supposedly a new couple. The country princess, 19, and Twilight hunk, 17, have been spotted all over Tinseltown.

The young (maybe) lovers met on the set of Garry Marshall's upcoming film, Valentine's Day.

HEALTH NEWS

It's not been a good week for rock and roll:

Morrissey returned to the stage in London Tuesday night following his collapse during a performance over the weekend. The ex-Smiths star, 50, was hospitalized for an undisclosed ailment.

Eric Clapton, 64, has pulled out of this week's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert in New York after gallstone surgery. He's recuperating in England.

Bruce Springsteen nixed a show in Kansas City after his cousin/roadie, Lenny Sullivan, died. The 36-year-old was found dead at a KC hotel hours before Monday night's concert. Cops say it wasn't suspicious.
