Quattro goes from one city that never sleeps to another

For a change, a Miami restaurant will do the reverse commute and open in New York City instead of the other way around. Quattro Gastronomia Italiana of Lincoln Road is opening in the new Trump SoHo New York Hotel on Feb. 1. In addition, the Quattro team KNR (Karim Masri, Nicola Siervo and Rony Seikaly) is opening Bazaar, the hotel's obligatory hipster lounge and Bar d'Eau, the hotel's obligatory poolside bar and lounge, which because it's in NYC, will be seasonal.
MSNBC's chief Washington correspondent Norah O'Donnell Tweeted on Thursday that she just met Olympic swimmer and Parkland resident Dara Torres in a massive security line at Miami International Airport. Better than that, Torres let O'Donnell cut the line.
Best-selling author Tom Wolfe, whose upcoming book Back to Blood, the story of ``class, family, wealth, race, crime, sex, corruption and ambition in Miami, the city where America's future has arrived first,'' recently dined two days in a row at Perricone's. First companion: Miami Police Chief John Timoney; second, his wife Sheila.
Venus Williams was at the PGA National Resort & Spa on Wednesday, shooting the cover of her new book, Come to Win, due on shelves next summer.
Designer Nicole Miller dined at Pacific Time with artist Romero Britto that night. We hear that Miller was ``stylishly fabulous,'' channeling Vogue editrix Anna Wintour by wearing sunglasses the entire night.
SoBeFIT Magazine's Fittest Person of the Year gala at the W South Beach on Wednesday will feature a special guest, Latin Grammy-winning Spanish pop singer David Bisbal, who will celebrate the release of his new record, Sin Mirar Atras.
Dwyane Wade gal pal Gabrielle Union had dinner with five girlfriends at Solea at the W South Beach before partying at WET where rapper Lil' Jon was hanging out.
Congrats to MCB principal dancer Jennifer Carlynn Kronenberg, who made the cover of the October issue of Dance Magazine. The mag offers a look into Kronenberg's career and how she became ``More than a Balanchine baby.''
Veteran pop singer Andy Williams had dinner at Caffe Abbracci on Friday night with his son. Owner Nino Pernetti was the first to spot and greet him. Other fans also recognized his unmistakable style with a pullover and shirt sticking out.
