CELEBRITY ROUNDUP
TLC suing Jon Gosselin
The TLC network is suing Jon Gosselin for breaching his contract as star of the now-shelved Jon & Kate Plus 8.
The lawsuit, filed Friday in Maryland, alleges that the Father of the Year (just kidding) hasn't met the obligations of his contract as an exclusive employee, has appeared on other programs for pay and made unauthorized disclosures about the show.
The network didn't mention Jon's various affairs with bartenders, nannies and college students.
FLU FOLLIES
Bet she wants to rub off some of her germs on Jason Mesnick. Former Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft has swine flu. But the former Dancing With the Stars cutie is on the mend after consulting her mother-in-law to be. Her fiancé Ty Strickland's mom happens to be a nurse.
``I want to stress to people how easy it is to battle this flu when you take the proper steps such as seeking the care of a doctor,'' Rycroft, 26, told E! News.
THANKS, DUDE!
Drew Carey is showing the love to South Florida.
The Price is Right host appeared on the Paul & Young Ron Show on Big 105.9 FM, Thursday morning, saying he would pledge $50,000 to Feeding South Florida (formerly the Daily Bread Food Bank), whose Pembroke Park warehouse and thousands of pounds of food were damaged in a fire earlier this month.
There's a stipulation: Carey's soccer team, the Seattle Sounders, has to beat the Kansas City Wizards, set to play Saturday. Our guess: he'll do it regardless. He helped the food bank in 2005, pledging the same amount.
MORE THE MERRIER
Lil Wayne is really adding to the U.S. population -- the rapper will become a dad yet again. According to E! Online, singer Nivea is pregnant with the Lollipop singer's fourth kid. The 27-year-old Wayne (real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) also had a son with an unidentified woman last October. Another son, Lennox, was born to actress Lauren London last month.
Hello, palimony! The Grammy winner -- who was recently bowling at Lucky Strike, according to spies -- has a 9-year-old daughter with ex-wife Antonia Carter
Speaking of babies, Alonzo and Tracy Mourning had a baby boy they named Elijah two weeks ago. The proud papa was at the Overtown Youth Center Thursday to kick off IE Squared, an ``inner city glossy magazine, with Ocean Drive publisher Jerry Powers. IE stands for Inspire, Empower & Enrich.
TAX HELL
Nicolas Cage is suing his business manager for financial ruin. The National Treasure star, 45, claims Samuel Levin has sent him in a financial downward spiral, forcing him to sell off some of his major assets and investments.
Cage is facing tax debt in the tune of over $6.2 million. But he's not alone in his woes. Courtney Love, too, is in a financial hole (sorry, couldn't resist). Kurt Cobain's widow owes the IRS more than $300,000. Again, a business manager is to blame, she says.
So what happened to all of Cobain's cash? Love claims her late husband's multimillion dollar legacy was drained by scamming employees hired to maintain the estate.
