Speed junkies may want to call in sick Wednesday when the Homestead-Miami Speedway invites you to watch Danica Patrick, Tony Kanaan, Raphael Matos, Mario Moraes, Sarah Fisher and Alex Lloyd test drive in advance of the Oct. 10 IndyCar Championship finale. Engines start sometime around 11 a.m.
Spotted hanging out at the Delano's Tuesday night party: Dwyane Wade, with a group of 8, ``not drinking and just hanging out for over an hour,'' says our spy.
Argentine jewelry designer Rodrigo Otazu made a flashy appearance at the Super Wal Mart of car dealerships, Lexus North Miami, on Thursday night. Otazu is currently the featured designer at Henri Bendel as well as the accessory designer for Christian LaCroix and bling purveyor for America's Next Top Model and Gossip Girl.
Former WFOR reporter Judy Echavez, now living full time in L.A., took her reporting skills to a new level when she was recently cast to play a local reporter on CSI: Miami. ``It was déja vu for me when the crew handed me a CBS mic flag,'' Echavez said. ``It brought back memories of doing a live shot for WFOR.'' In two scenes, Echavez is seen outside of police headquarters covering a breaking news story for Monday's episode entitled Hostile Takeover.
Former Miami Heat player and ESPN commentator Jamal Mashburn was at Pizza Volante last week with family and friends. Andy Rourke, former bass player for The Smiths, played DJ at Wall at the W South Beach Friday night as part of the North American DJ Tour. Before heading to the Dolphins extravaganza Monday night, Tiger Woods enjoyed dinner at Steak 954 at the W Fort Lauderdale Hotel and Residences, where he also spent the night.
