Congrats to Ramiro Exposito, Sous Chef at Diego’s Andalucia Tapas & Delicatessen on Southwest Eighth Street, who has been chosen as one of the 10 U.S. finalists in the S. Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 competition. Finalists were chosen by a panel of culinary experts from ALMA, the world’s leading international school of Italian cuisine. Exposito will compete against nine others in February in NYC for the chance to represent the United States at Expo Milano 2015. Each chef will present a signature dish to a panel of judges including Top Chef winner Paul Qui. Should Exposito make it to Milan in June, he will be paired with a fashion designer as part of a partnership with Vogue Italia, to create dishes and garment designs that complement each another. Good luck!
