The Jesus Quintero Studio's production of Tennessee Williams' 27 Wagons Full of Cotton, featuring Quintero and Melissa Almaguer, opens Thursday at the Yellow House, 420 NE 23rd St. in Miami (call 786-853-3915 for details). Aside from performing through Oct. 26, the company will be participating in an event involving a number of South Florida troupes: Free Night of Theater. The idea behind the promotion is to introduce people to not-for-profit theaters in 120 cities nationwide. Participating theaters also include GableStage, Actors' Playhouse, the Women's Theatre Project, the Promethean Theatre, New Theatre, Florida Stage and Palm Beach Dramaworks. Each company offers a limited number of free tickets at one or two performances Oct. 16-30 (though some have already given away all their tickets). For information, visit www.freenightoftheater.net.
