In the early 20th century, a Yiddish theater troupe travels from England to the United States, hoping for a better life -- and, just maybe, success in New York. That's the subject of Knish Alley! by South Florida playwright Tony Finstrom. The comedy, inspired by acting legends of the Yiddish theater, gets its world premiere this weekend at the Broward Stage Door Theatre, 8036 W. Sample Rd., Coral Springs, where it runs through Aug. 30. Performances are 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday-Sunday. Tickets are $33.25.
