South Beach Wine & Food Festival founder Lee Brian Schrager was chatting with cohosts Willie Geist and Tamron Hall about his new book America’s Best Breakfasts: Favorite Local Recipes from Coast to Coast. He also brought along some of the A.M. dishes he discovered throughout his travels to morning haunts across the U.S., including — obvio — his home. His pick: the bacon, egg and cheese rolled up in a pancake from Plantation-based FOAR food truck.
Hall, for one, is a big breakfast person: “I love the variety. The sweet, the savory, everything.”

“It’s interesting when we writing this and traveling across country, we found that people are very particular more so about breakfast than any other meal of the day,” said Schrager. “They know what they want, they know how they want it and there are so many choices at breakfast.”
