Don’t be surprised if you see Selena Gomez in town for Winter Music Conference in March. Seems the young lady has moved on from Justin Bieber and found a new fixation. The singer-actress was pictured holding hands with DJ Zedd (aka Anton Zaslavski) at a Golden Globes afterparty. Gomez and the Russian-German music producer and WMC regular have a lot in common. He’s a fellow child prodigy and has grooved with Bieber — albeit professionally.
TAKING IT TO THE STREET
Romero Britto yukked it up with some works of art (the human kind) on Sunday at his Wynwood studio, Britto Central. The Brazilian pop artist hosted a paint party with all 88 of the 2015 Miss Universe contestants. The international beauties did up the outside wall in support of Best Buddies. Check out their masterpiece — a mural featuring the names of their countries as well as other designs in bold, neon colors — if you happen to pass by.
Never miss a local story.
“As an artist, I feel compelled to share my hope and happiness with the world around me and it was a true honor to spread my art with representatives from around the world,” said Britto. “It was a one-of-a-kind experience … and I wish them all the best in the coming weeks as they prepare to take center stage.”
The paint party was was one of many events the contestants will partake in leading up to the Miss Universe pageant in Doral on Jan.25.
Upbeat TV personality Kathie Lee Gifford went back to her old stomping grounds on Sunday for a good cause: inebriation. The former spokesperson for Carnival Cruise Line boarded the Carnival Breeze at PortMiami so that VIPs could check out her new vino line, created with California-based Scheid Family Wines. The Today show host, famous for boozing it up in the mornings with drinking partner in crime Hoda Kotb, introduced her GIFFT Collection at a tasting event. The red blend and chardonnay are now available for sale fleetwide on Carnival's 24 ships.
