As part of Macy’s Black History Month celebrations, film and television actress Jurnee Smollett-Bell will lead a panel discussion at Macy’s Aventura at noon Feb. 13. The Parenthood star, who will be seen in WGN America’s upcoming John Legend-produced series about slavery, Underground, will discuss the influence and impact of African-American culture. “As we reflect and pay tribute to the trailblazers who had strength and courage before us, I look forward to connecting with a lot of great people and engaging in a dialogue about finding that strength and courage in ourselves,” the actress said.
Un Nuevo Día personalities Ana Maria Canseco and Daniel Sarcos were up bright and early Wednesday at the Gibson Guitar Showroom in Midtown Miami for a major announcement. Dwyane Wade is one proud dad: His 13-year-old son, Zaire, is a chip off the old block. The Miami Heat star posted a video on his Twitter account showing the teen ably “dropping dimes” — aka shooting hoops — at John Lucas basketball camp in Philadelphia. “It’s more work to do but I like what I’m seeing.
