Deco Drive reporter Chris Van Vliet got a huge ego boost the other day. During a press junket in Los Angeles for the upcoming movie How to Be Single, the comedy’s stars — Dakota Johnson and Leslie Mann — were distracted from the interview by Van Vliet’s bulging muscles under his suit. On a YouTube video you can witness the flirty exchange.
“Are you single?” Mann, who is married to Judd Apatow, inquires after complimenting him on his flashy socks.
“Yes, I can’t find anyone in Miami,” he replies.
Johnson then tells the native Canadian that he looks like he works out.
Never miss a local story.
Both women then beg him to take off his shirt. Van Vliet obliges, sort of, by just undoing a few buttons.
“This is the best interview ever!” he exclaims. “Amazing!”
In other journalism news, Marjorie “MJ” Acosta has gone west. The former Miami Dolphins cheerleader turned WPLG Local 10 reporter has taken a job as a sports anchor with NBC 7 San Diego, according to her Facebook page. In a farewell post, the native New Yorker wrote, “Thank you all for the well wishes, for putting up w/ my shenanigans, and for making me a better MJ. Dammit, here come the tears.”
