Sir Ivan (Wilzig) sure knows how to get the publicity wheels rolling. A week or so ago we received an email requesting our company at the singer-songwriter’s “wild, lion-themed” 60th birthday bash at the Nautilus Hotel Monday night. We didn’t think much of it as the Hamptons party boy’s invite requested that “female only” guests were allowed, but then, lo and behold, The New York Daily News reports that it was quite the blowout. The paper goes on to say that two scantily clad women wearing “leashes and studded dog collars,” painted as lionesses, emerged from a limo adorned with peace symbols and hippie flowers. One woman, in particular, it seems, wasn’t too happy about the cooler climes. “That aside, the party was the cat’s meow,” a guest told the publication.
Pop singer Aaron Carter “was a little bit shocked” by his older brother Nick Carter’s arrest in Key West earlier this month, he tells the current issue of In Touch. The former Backstreet Boy was taken into custody Jan. 13 on a misdemeanor battery charge after a bar fight at Hog’s Breath in Key West. “I think he’ll be fine,” Aaron told the mag. “Someone must have just pushed his buttons.” Last week, Monroe County Judge Ruth Becker set bond at $1,500 for Nick, ordered he not drink alcohol and stay off the bar’s premises, reports The Keynoter.
