More bad luck for Bono. The U2 frontman needs surgery after injuring his arm while riding a bicycle in Central Park. A posting on the band’s website Sunday did not say when or how the accident happened, but the band will have to reschedule their planned weeklong appearance on NBC’s Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
Just last week, German authorities said Bono’s private plane lost a hatch as it was coming in for a landing at Berlin’s airport. In January, pal Julian Lennon told the Irish Daily Star that the rocker suffers from an eye condition that makes him over-sensitive to light, and confirmed the condition is worsening.
Before he begins his own late-night show, James Corden is paying a visit to David Letterman on Friday. Corden is replacing Craig Ferguson next year on The Late Late Show, the CBS late-night program that follows Letterman on the schedule. Ferguson is signing off on Dec. 19, and Corden makes his debut on March 9. The Tony Award-winning actor has some product to promote besides his upcoming program, since he’s featured in the new film Into the Woods, opening on Christmas Day.

The 39-year-old ex-girlfriend of Jerry Seinfeld and her soon-to-be ex have three kids. Seinfeld famously dated the fellow New Yorker in 1993 while she was still in high school.
The male co-host of an Australian TV program is finally getting some attention for his fashion sense. Karl Stefanovic wore the same blue suit every day for a year on Channel Nine's Today program. And no one noticed until he went public with his hidden-in-plain-sight experiment. He told Australia's Fairfax Media that while no one asked about his suit, people regularly commented about and criticized the outfits worn by co-host Lisa Wilkinson.
"I'm hoping to get it into the dry cleaners at the end of the year," Stefanovic joked.
