A Tennessee man being arrested on charges of illegal marijuana possession told police he was Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington. Officers told 21-year-old Justin Lee Seay of Memphis he wasn’t fooling anyone — and quickly found that he had violated his probation on a separate case.
With Halloween imminent, MTV is ready to Scream. The network announced it is turning the horror movie franchise into a TV series. The goal is to put 10 episodes on the air starting next October.

A judge has finalized Jane Lynch’s divorce from her wife after more than four years of marriage. The agreement calls for Dr. Lara Embry, a clinical psychologist, to receive half of Lynch’s royalties from several entertainment projects, including several seasons of the TV series Glee. Lynch and Embry were married on Memorial Day in 2010 in Massachusetts. Lynch, 54, filed for divorce in July 2013, citing irreconcilable differences.
Phil Collins handed over his vast collection of artifacts related to the Battle of the Alamo and the Texas Revolution to the state of Texas. Collins was in San Antonio to donate what’s considered the world’s largest private collection of Alamo artifacts. It includes a fringed leather pouch and a gun used by Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie’s legendary knife and letters from garrison commander William B. Travis.
