ABC moved quickly to land one of the three men who foiled a terror attack on a Paris-bound train last month for the 21st season cast of Dancing With the Stars. The network announced Wednesday that Alek Skarlatos, who overpowered a gun-toting man last month with his friends Spencer Stone and Anthony Sadler, will be on the show, airing at 8 p.m. Sept. 14. The cast is rounded out by Spy Kids actress, Miami native Alexa Vega, and her actor-husband, Carlos Peña; singer Andy Grammer; disco queen Chaka Khan; teen online star Hayes Grier; Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Kim Zolciak; former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter; reality TV’s Tamar Braxton; and Triple Crown-winning jockey Victor Espinoza.
Sony Pictures insists that the Will Smith film Concussion was not “softened” to placate the NFL. Emails leaked by last year’s hack of Sony Pictures Entertainment revealed executives, lawyers and filmmaker Peter Landesman wrestling with whether Concussion would antagonize the NFL. After a review of those exchanges, The New York Times reported that Sony blunted parts of the movie, in which Smith plays the first scientist to uncover the fatal effects of repeated head trauma. In a statement, Sony called the Times story “misleading.”

Turns out imitation isn’t so flattering, after all. Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner sued Hasbro for more than $5 million this week over its plastic Harris Faulkner hamster, sold as part of the company’s popular “Littlest Pet Shop” line. The Outnumbered host says the toy wrongfully appropriates her name and persona, and harms her professional credibility as a journalist. “Hasbro’s portrayal of Faulkner as a rodent is demeaning and insulting,” says the suit, filed in U.S. District Court in New Jersey, adding that the toy bears a resemblance to Faulkner, including its complexion, eye shape and makeup.
Phew, Janice Dickinson is doing all right now. Viewers of Tuesday’s Celebrity Big Brother UK were horrified to see the one-time supermodel collapse after getting stung by a bee on her hand. Before she went down, the 60-year-old begged producers to take the to the hospital as her extremity swelled and turned purple. They eventually did. TMZ reports that Dickinson is allergic to bee venom and did not have her EpiPen.
