The couple that exercises together ... you know the old saying. Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade showed off their ridiculously toned physiques on Instagram over the Fourth of July weekend. Despite an affinity for pork patty sausages — which he told fans about in a Twitter Q&A Monday — Wade has an excuse. The Miami Heat star is an athlete and gets paid handsomely to work out, but Union in that yellow bikini? Her flawlessness may be in the genes.
Try not to get too jealous, but apparently, the two were vacationing somewhere fabulous on a yacht with fellow power duo LaLa and Carmelo Anthony. It’s unclear where the group was, but in another pic, we see a group of pigs, um, wading in the ocean with Union.
Idina Menzel, who has crossed over from the Broadway stage to the Billboard charts, is still surprised that she’s able to sell concert tickets like a proper pop star. Menzel, 44, just kicked off a North American tour Tuesday; she’ll play almost 40 shows, including a stop in Boca Raton at Mizner Park Amphitheatre July 26 (Ticketmaster).
“It’s amazing to go into new territories and have people buy tickets to your show that you never knew in a million years would know your name,” Menzel said in a recent AP interview. The tour will feature music from her career, including songs from Broadway shows like Wicked and If/Then and the animated hit Frozen, which includes the Oscar- and Grammy-winning song Let It Go, which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Menzel will also perform songs from her lesser-known pop albums.
“I’m even doing a couple things from albums that I did earlier … I’m like, ‘You know what, I’m going to do that song now!’ ” she said.
She’s back. After taking a maternity leave to have her daughter Alaia, Adamari Lopez took her seat on Un Nuevo Día Monday. Baby Alaia and partner Toni Costa were the special guests. The time off hasn’t been all about bottles and burping; Lopez and the family of three traveled to the TV personality’s native Puerto Rico to baptize the child, the breast cancer survivor told the local TV show Lo Se Todo.
Hell hath no fury like Oxygen’s reality series Player Gets Played, airing 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Each episode follows a woman who has a gut feeling her bf isn’t being faithful. Lo and behold, she’s right! What ensues is a full-on investigation and then linking up with the mistresses for revenge, a la the Cameron Diaz 2014 flick The Other Woman. Wednesday’s show features a local woman, Nikohl Fleury, who works at a law firm in Coral Gables. The Miramar resident is under the (false) impression that she is the only person in Keenyn Joplin’s life. Wrong! Fleury assumed she was exclusive with Joplin, a wardrobe stylist who lives in Midtown Miami. And you all know what happens when you assume.
