Another one bites the dust: TMZ reports that Kenan Thompson will leave Saturday Night Live after this season.
SNL sources told TMZ that Thompson was going to leave last season but decided to stay after producer Lorne Michaels asked him to stay on after the cast turnover this season.
TMZ reports that Thompson is leaving on good terms: He’s in talks for a new show and plans on moving to L.A. (with his wife and brand new baby).
Never miss a local story.
Baby makes three for Extra correspondent Terri Seymour and British model boyfriend Clark Mallon.
“I’m extremely excited and really happy to say I’m pregnant,” Seymour, 39, announced Monday on the show. “Clark and I are going to be a mummy and daddy.”
Meanwhile, People.com reports, mom-to-be Alicia Keys used her bulging belly to send a message. The singer, 34, posted a nude photo to Instagram over the weekend featuring her pregnant belly painted with a white peace sign.
“It’s you and me on a mission to create a kinder and more peaceful world,” she wrote. “The #WeAreHere Movement begins today.”
On Sunday, Keys spoke at the 92nd Street Y in New York City as part of the two-day Social Good Summit.
Chicago lucks out
An art exhibition chronicling the five-decade career of musician David Bowie opens Tuesday at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art, the only U.S. stop on its schedule.
“David Bowie is” features more than 400 items including photography, album artwork, handwritten lyrics, original fashions, set designs and rare performance material.
The exhibit includes body suits Bowie wore as Ziggy Stardust and the Union Jack coat that he and late fashion designer Alexander McQueen made for the Earthling album cover in 1997.
The Victoria and Albert Museum in London organized the exhibit, which runs in Chicago through Jan.4. Then it travels to Paris, the Netherlands and Melbourne, Australia.
