Gwyneth Paltrow is a single woman so she can do whatever she wants with whomever, right?
Oh, but wait, what if she’s wrecking a marriage?
Star magazine reports that the actress was spotted on a romantic holiday (read: topless sunbathing) at a Utah resort with Glee and American Horror Story creator Brad Falchuk. Unfortunately, the father of two is not yet divorced from TV producer Suzanne Bukinik.
The timing is sketchy. Paltrow and Falchuk first met in 2010 when the Shakespeare in Love Oscar winner made the first of five appearances on Glee, playing a substitute teacher. Did sparks fly back then? Paltrow famously announced her split as a “conscious uncoupling” with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in March — the same month Bukinik filed for divorce from Falchuk. Doh!
Martin said in a radio interview with Elvis Duran this week: “Sometimes you have to go through something painful or breakage to see the beauty of things.”
Not so fast. LaineyGossip.com reports that the rock star had engaged in some extramarital hanky-panky of his own with British model Alexa Chung, with whom he was first spotted last summer.
TAKE A BOW
Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy are saying goodbye to The View Monday. The pre-taped episode celebrates Shepherd’s seven years and McCarthy’s one year with the show, which will be in reruns starting Tuesday until its new season in September. There’s been no announcement of who will join Whoopi Goldberg and the returning Rosie O'Donnell, but Sarah Palin is said to be interested.
No doubt George Clooney will be dashing at his upcoming nuptials. As per Women’s Wear Daily, the groom-to-be has reached out to Giorgio Armani for his tuxedo. The fashion house’s statement: “An entire team from the designer's Milan office reportedly flew up to Clooney's Lake Como, Italy, home recently to fit him and his male attendants for his September wedding to human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin.” The bride is rumored to be considering Oscar de la Renta for her gown. The couple obtained their marriage license from a courthouse in London earlier this week. As for the location, it is still unclear if they will do the deed at Clooney’s Lake Como villa, or, as WWD reports, on an island off Venice.
THE SCREEN SCENE
Interesting pairing: Rick Springfield is teaming with Meryl Streep in the upcoming Jonathan Demme-directed, Diablo Cody-written film Ricki and the Flash, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Jessie’s Girl singer is set to play a musician as is Streep. If the actress, who showed off singing chops in Mamma Mia!, can learn how to rock out a guitar for the role, we’ll be impressed. She already plays the violin.
A few days after it was reported that she broke up with Google executive Dan Fredinburg, E! News reports actress Sophia Bush is now with Chicago P.D. costar Jesse Soffer, who conveniently plays her partner. Bush is no stranger to chemistry with costars like her One Tree Hill on-screen husband Austin Nichols, whom she ditched in 2012. Before that relationship, the 32-year-old was lovey-dovey with OTH star Chad Michael Murray. Their marriage was annulled after five months in 2005.
