He’s the Dude. Really! During a recent Q&A Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, Jeff Bridges was doling out the marital advice. And why not? The Academy Award winner has been married to the same woman, actress/producer Susan Geston, since 1977. Bridges said even though the movie industry is “tough on relationships,” he still manages to call her while he’s away on set and ask her about the details of her day, no matter how trivial. “Your connection kind of atrophies unless you keep engaged,” Bridges said, adding that it’s key to “nurture being in love.”
So much for that. Just two weeks ago Paris Hilton was pictured locking lips were her long-termish boyfriend, Finnish-Spanish model River Viiperi. But the 33-year-old heiress was caught kissing an entirely different, albeit equally attractive, man in front of her home in Malibu on Sunday. Viiperi, 22, may have let it slip something was amiss in the relationship on Instagram last week: “At some point you realize that you have done too much for someone or something, that the only next possible step to do is to stop. Leave them alone. Walk away.”
Authorities say several dozen people were treated for alcohol-related illnesses at Keith Urban’s outdoor concert in Massachusetts. Ambulances from five surrounding communities responded to the Saturday night concert at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, about 30 miles south of Boston. At least 46 people were treated and 22 taken to local hospitals. More than 50 people were taken into protective custody at the concert, and some could face charges. About 18,000 people were in attendance. One “appalled” fan, “Amanda,” told SavingCountryMusic.com that she saw one teenager projectile vomiting and others totally out of it.
Ever wonder what happened to Freddie Prinze Jr. and why he morphed into Mr. Mom instead of acting? Maybe because the actor, who is married to Sarah Michelle Gellar, burned bridges and can’t find gigs. Just sayin.’ While at Comic-Con in San Diego promoting the Disney XD Series Star Wars Rebels, Prinze bashed his old 24 costar Keifer Sutherland to ABC News (in 2010, the She’s All That star played Cole Ortiz, a CTU operative, in the time ticker). “I hated every moment of it,” Prinze recalled, adding that working with Sutherland was so bad he quit showbiz for awhile. “Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world,” said the six-foot-tall actor who claimed he had to take off his shoes in scenes with the series’ diminutive star. “Just put the guy on an apple box or don’t hire me next time.” Ouch!
GTL means Gym, Tan, Lawyer for The Situation these days. Former Jersey Shore star Michael Sorrentino was scheduled to appear in Middletown Township municipal court Monday afternoon to answer to simple assault charges. He was arrested July 15 at the Boca Tanning Club, which he and his family own and which is the setting for The Sorrentinos reality show on TV Guide Network.
Catherine Zeta-Jones admitted she was a “mess” after learning husband Michael Douglas had throat cancer in 2010. She and the Oscar winner were speaking at the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies 5th World Congress opening ceremony in New York City on Sunday. The reconciled couple discussed the benefits of medical research and thanked the doctors who saved the Oscar winning actor’s life. “In all seriousness, and in every sense of the word, I’m very fortunate to be here today,” said Douglas, 69, who was declared cancer free the following year.
TROUBLE IN PARADISE
Don’t believe everything you read, but sources tell The Sun that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are not settling into married life. West is focusing on new music, and Kardashian is trying to be a good mom to North, so their priorities are clashing, and they are fighting more often. Also, if you have noticed, the reality star rarely smiles anymore, at least for the cameras. Not that West ever did … maybe she’s learning from a pro.
