Vanessa Williams wrote about being molested as a child in her 2012 memoir, You Have No Idea, but decided to share more details on Oprah’s Master Class, which aired Sunday on OWN. “I think it made me more sexually promiscuous and more sexually curious at a younger age than I should have been,” said the twice-divorced mother of four about the incident, in which an 18-year-old female family friend initiated oral sex with the then 10-year-old. Williams, who lost her 1983 Miss America crown after photos of her in lesbian poses were sold to Penthouse, said the shame of the incident always haunted her.
Jennifer Lopez may be thinking life is funny after a group of scientists named a water mite in her honor after discovering a new species near Puerto Rico. The reason behind the unusual choice of name? “J.Lo’s songs and videos kept the team in a continuous good mood when writing the manuscript and watching World Cup Soccer 2014,” said biologist Vladimir Pesic, who works at the University of Montenegro. Scientists collected the newly baptized Litarachna lopezae mite from a coral reef in Mona Passage, a treacherous body of water; the species was found at a depth of almost 230 feet, the greatest depth that pontarachnid mites have been found.

The film will run up to the Beatles’ final concert in San Francisco’s Candlestick Park in 1966. Much footage has already been gathered.
