Sigourney Weaver and the cast of “Alien” are virtually returning to the starship Nostromo. The actress who portrayed unflappable officer Ellen Ripley in the “Alien” franchise is reprising her role in “Alien: Isolation,” a video game set after the events of the original 1979 film. Weaver, who recorded new dialogue for the game, says she picked up right where she left off in Ridley Scott’s sci-fi horror masterpiece. “I felt like no time had passed,” she told The AP. www.alienisolation.com.
Garth Brooks, one of the last musicians to refuse to put his music on iTunes, will make his songs available digitally on his own website. The country singer, one of music’s top-selling artists, has said that he had no animosity toward Apple but disagreed with its approach to selling music. Others were like Brooks and refused to join iTunes until reaching deals, including AC/DC, the Beatles, Radiohead and Led Zeppelin.
