Show it off! Even though Eva Mendes is rumored to be two months away from having Ryan Gosling’s baby, the actress is still hiding her bump. Shortly after news broke on Wednesday that the couple had a baby on the way, Mendes was spotted out in Los Angeles throwing a huge bag in front of her stomach. OK magazine, the first to report the pregnancy, says Gosling, 33, is still not in a rush to marry his 40-year-old girlfriend of three years.

In related news, Jimmy Kimmel is used to late nights so being a new dad shouldn’t be a problem. The TV personality announced his news on Twitter: “Congratulations to my beautiful and very tough wife @mollymcnearney on delivering our baby girl.” Kimmel, 46, has two college-age kids with his ex-wife.

RATHERGATE

Robert Redford will play Dan Rather in a film about the former CBS anchor’s disputed report about President George W. Bush’s National Guard service during the Vietnam War. The film will be adapted from the memoir Truth and Duty: The Press, The President, and The Privilege of Power by former CBS producer Mary Mapes (played by Cate Blanchett). No studio is yet attached; shooting begins in the fall.

SEXY STORIES

In her new autobiography, I Said Yes to Everything (Blue Rider Press), Lee Grant, 87, dishes about how her Shampoo co-star felt about the opposite sex: “ Warren [ Beatty] loved women. Loved them with a ravenous appetite … an appreciation, an involvement that is obsessive, fascinated.” She also reveals that Beatty had a thing with Julie Christie and Goldie Hawn on set.

You’re about to get really envious of Carole Radziwill. The Real Housewives of New York City star, who once dated George Clooney, also seems to have had a fling with Ralph Fiennes. Radziwill hinted on the Bravo show that a passage in her new book, The Widow’s Guide to Sex and Dating, is about The English Patient star. It apparently happened many years ago while she was living in London for a summer.

FASHION WEEK

Kim Kardashian, in a whistle-stop 24-hour visit to Paris for Fashion Week, faced the incandescent lights of Valentino’s couture show in a plunging ice blue gown that caused photographers to trip over themselves. “Laughter is such a good medicine. It’s definitely got calmer since I married. I love my life with my husband and my baby,” she told The Associated Press. “Absolutely, calm on the inside can make you glow on the outside. I also get a lot of sleep. But I’m a happy person and in such a good place,” she said.

GEORGE’S WAY

A bureaucratic error has put a Catholic church on an NYC street named after George Carlin. The comedian skewered the church in his act and gained fame with his foul-mouthed “seven dirty words” routine. After he died in 2008, fellow comedians proposed naming the stretch of 121st Street where he grew up George Carlin Way. The New York Times reports that priests at Corpus Christi Church objected; under a compromise, one block was to be named after Carlin — not where the church is. Due to a clerical error, it’s two blocks long and includes the church. City officials say the mistake will be corrected.
