They did it! Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are legally wed.
The Vampire Diaries star, 36, married the Twilight alum, 26, Sunday in Malibu, California, People.com reports.
The couple, who were in Miami recently when Reed was honored with the Humane Society of the U.S. Inspirational Award at St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, were first seen together last summer, soon adopting a horse together and letting the PDA fly at Comic-Con in San Diego, according to People. Us Weekly reports they moved in to Somerhalder’s Atlanta home quickly and were engaged after dating for just six months.
Reed told reporters earlier this year that they actually wake up in the morning and discuss how to make the world a better place, People reports. “We do wake up in the morning and talk about those things,” she says.
Never miss a local story.
As for Somerhalder, on Sunday, he tweeted: “Most beautiful morning ever…”
Weddings, part II
Actress Stana Katic walked down the aisle on Castle in the ABC show’s most recent season, and now she’s done it in real life, too, Us Weekly reports.

Bruce Jenner has a fan in Laverne Cox.
At the White House Correspondents’ Dinner Saturday, the transgender actress of Orange is the New Black talked to MSNBC’s shift about the former Olympian who is undergoing a gender transition, according to Us Weekly.
“I think a lot of people tuned in expecting to see a spectacle, and they tuned in and saw a profoundly nuanced, complicated, beautiful human being,” said Cox, 30. “I thought ABC handled it really beautifully. I had spoken to Bruce several months back. The same person who I spoke to on the phone, who really just loves their children so much and wants their family to be happy was the person I saw on television last night.”
Jenner, 65, has fans in his own family. On a taped segment of The Today Show, Kim Kardashian West spoke out about her stepfather, according to People .com.
“Bruce is the most honest. … He has the biggest heart, and I’m really happy for him that he is living his life the way he wants to live it and that he has found inner peace and just pure happiness,” said the reality star, 34. “That’s what life is about. I don’t know what life would be like if you always felt like you weren’t yourself.”
John Cameron Mitchell, who co-created the Broadway hit Hedwig and the Angry Inch and then played the lead character this spring, will receive the 2015 Special Tony Award.
The show — about an East German transsexual seeking love and stardom in a retro glam-rock band — roared onto Broadway last season. Neil Patrick Harris started off the Hedwigs and was replaced by Andrew Rannells and then Michael C. Hall and Mitchell. Next up is Darren Criss.
Nominations for the annual Tonys will be announced Tuesday.
