Nice guy Michael Strahan has an enemy? NYPD officials say yes. A 25-year-old homeless man was arrested in front of ABC’s Good Morning America set in NYC after allegedly pulling out a knife. He later told police he went there to “kill” the former football great. “The suspect went to the entrance of ABC studios and demanded that security let him into the studio. He was denied entrance, at which time he showed a knife. He [then] attempted to stab a security guard,” a police source told Fox411.com. A cop working security subdued the man, Andre Johnson, and took away the knife. He was charged with felony attempted assault as well as menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, and is being held without bail.
Shia LaBeouf is getting help. The actor’s rep, Melissa Kates, said the 28-year-old has not checked into a rehab facility but is receiving voluntary treatment for alcohol addiction. Kates said in a statement that LaBeouf’s recent actions — which include an arrest for disrupting a Broadway play — are symptoms of a larger health problem. LaBeouf was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and harassment during a production of Cabaret last week.
TAKING IT SLOW
Things aren’t going so well in Robin Thicke’s quest to get Paula Patton back. The singer, 37, stopped by New York’s Hot 97 radio station on Tuesday, and admitted he hadn’t seen his estranged wife in four months. Is there hope? Perhaps in the future. “Maybe a year or two off, we’ll become our own people without each other and then it will be meant to be,” Thicke said.
OFF THE MARKET?
Diehard bachelor Gerard Butler may finally be settling down. The hot Scot was spotted at Disneyland with TV producer Carmella Casinelli a couple of days ago. “They hit all the big rides together,” a witness told Life & Style: “Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones.” The spy blabbed that after the park, they checked into a hotel together.
‘REIGN’ IT IN
Since tying the knot with Prince William in 2011, Kate Middleton has been criticized by Queen Elizabeth II for her high-profile wardrobe malfunctions and even her parenting methods. Now rumor has it the queen is coming down on Kate for her excessive overspending on renovations to the royal couple’s 10-bedroom home, Anmer Hall.
Though his Miami soccer stadium plans may have stalled, we can see that David Beckham’s workouts are panning out nicely. Just released: The latest shots of the 39-year-old Brit’s H&M campaign for the retailer’s Autumn/Winter 2014 Bodywear collection. You see Becks striking various, almost-naked poses, his various tattoos (and ripped muscles) on display.
PAY THE PIPER
A rapper from the 1990s hip-hop group 3rd Bass has pleaded guilty in Albany County (New York) Court to failing to pay state income taxes. Peter Nash, whose stage name was “Prime Minister Pete Nice,” released three albums with 3rd Bass between 1989 and 1991, two of which went gold. Pop Goes the Weasel! reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard rap charts. The Albany County District Attorney’s Office says Nash did not pay taxes in 2009, 2010 and 2011. He must pay $13,101 to the state in back taxes, penalties and interest. He also will be on probation for three years.
