How did the average person know that Bella Thorne was at Barnes & Noble at Dadeland Mall Sunday? All the screaming and shrieking. About 400 fans (mostly young women — female power!) came out to see the Shake it Up actress, who signed copies of her Seventeen cover and chatted about her role as Adam Sandler’s daughter in the comedy Blended, out Friday. For someone just 16, she has a lot going on: Thorne just released a single, Call it Whatever, and co-wrote a young adult book, Autumn Falls, about a teen’s experience with magic. At least it’s not all work, no play. Busy Bella was also spotted on the beach in a bikini, with the Instragram caption, “I’m in Miami B----…”
City of romance
Local Mentalist fans were in for a treat, seeing the season finale that aired on CBS Sunday night was partially filmed in Miami. After six seasons, Simon Baker, as Thomas Jane, finally tearfully declared his love for fellow FBI-er Robin Tunney (Theresa Lisbon) after running through Miami International Airport — or a pretty good facsimile — and jumping a gate to get on her plane idling on the runway. OK, that scenario is so not likely, but we’re happy those two crazy kids got together regardless.
Need some help getting organized? Of course you do. Get tips from Mark Brunetz, co-host of Style Network’s Clean House and author of Take the U Out of Clutter, who is hosting the grand opening of the Carpet Boutique’s third Miami showroom from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at 2250 NE 163rd St., North Miami Beach. Event is free but RSVP required: email@example.com, 305-944-1015.
