What do you recommend?

“Anything by Rick Atkinson. I just happened to meet him the other night at Books & Books and got a signed copy of The Guns at Last Light: The War in Western Europe, 1944-1945. He catches all of the amazing details but tells the story in a novelistic way. He does it a million times better than I can, but it’s something I can aspire to some day.”
